The show, which stars Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar, is said to be returning for a three part special after the season six finale left "unfinished business", writes The Mirror.
Fans have been desperate for the show to return after season six ended last year, and the notorious bent copper 'H' was unveiled. Many will be hoping that the next instalment provides answers and perhaps writer Jed Mercurio will reveal who H truly is. According to reports, the episodes will reportedly be filmed in the spring and could be on our screens as early as next Christmas.
