Francesca’s Passaggio on Route 59 near 95th Street in Naperville has closed.

The Italian restaurant featuring cuisine from Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio was part of the Scott Harris Hospitality, founded by restaurateur Scott Harris in 1992.A spokesperson for the company said there are no plans at this time for the 3124 S. Route 59 location.

The group’s first venture, Mia Francesca , opened in 1992 on North Clark Street in Chicago followed by La Sorella di Francesca two years later in Naperville. Francesca’s Passaggio opened in south Naperville in 2005.The restaurant group has several other restaurants in Naperville, including the Italian trattoria La Sorella di Francesca at 18 W. Jefferson Ave.; the Mediterranean-inspired Vasili’s at 135 Water St.; and the Mexican-themed Fat Rosie’s Taco and Tequilla Bar, 22 E. Chicago Ave.

Another Italian restaurant Davanti Enoteca! and barbecue restaurant Smokeshow — also both from Scott Harris Hospitality — are slated to open in downtown Naperville this spring.
