LOS ANGELES — The Walt Disney Co. said Wednesday it will cut about 7,000 jobs as part of a “significant transformation” announced by CEO Bob Iger. Iger returned as CEO in November following a challenging two-year tenure by his handpicked successor, Bob Chapek. The company says the job reductions are part of a targeted $5.5 billion cost savings across the company. As of Oct. 1, Disney employed 220,000 people, of which about 166,000 worked in the U.S. and 54,000 internationally.

The old dinosaur should’ve stayed retired

Like Dell, they waited until after the SOTU. Between the two, that's some 19,000 jobs.

You mean all that wokeness didn’t increase profits?

More sequels instead of original content and lay offs to make sure shareholders are taken care of. It sure is great that Bob Iger is back… (sarcasm obviously)

Go woke, go broke

WOKE

My bad. I canceled my Disney+ in December. I had no idea the affect that would have.

Shutdown Disneyland in Florida or move to other states

They should take away all executive bonuses and raises. That alone could save all 7,000 jobs!

Fire the racists and groomers first.

How many cuts will be in Florida?

Iger making Disney great again

Not good lol

Disney is obsessed with everything Trans'.

They’re way overpriced! Why do people want to go broke there? 🤷‍♀️

'trickle-down economics is good for the economy!'

Disney made more money than god last year. This is a trash excuse for trash corporate behavior.

FL is tanking. No one wants to visit that fascist state.

Liberalism all the way time to boycott Disney

Go woke go broke

Is this go woke, go broke?

Good
