The Merritt Island mansion at 205 Hacienda Drive, officially known as 'Hacienda del Sol' and sometimes referred to as the 'White House of the South', is on the market with a $6.8 million price tag after it sold for $4.5 million in 2021., it was the second-priciest single-family home deal in Brevard County history.
The home overlooks the Indian River from its large 7.7-acre lot. The property includes 22,000 square feet of living space, including the 14,755-square-foot main house, the guest cottage, pool house and caretaker’s residence. Plus, there is a 50,000-gallon saltwater swimming pool and a half-acre koi pond.

The number of people who moved to the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville metro, often called the Space Coast, increased 15% from 2019-2022, according to a National Association of Realtor analysis of U.S. Postal Service change of address data.
