U.K. stocks break six-day climbing streak

Of the FTSE 100 constituents, life insurance company Prudential PLC PRU, -3.36% saw the largest drop Thursday, as shares declined 3.36%

Melrose Industries PLC MRO, -1.80%, a building materials/products company, and clothing company Burberry Group PLC BRBY, -1.75% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined 1.80% and 1.75%, respectively. Shares of aerospace products/parts firm Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC RR, +2.54% and general mining company Glencore PLC GLEN, +1.53% rallied 2.54% and 1.53%, respectively.

The pound was down 0.45% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.44% at $1.2664 and was up 0.34% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.33% at €1.1686.
