South Africa’s consumer credit market remains resilient, with growth in credit demand and supply during the fourth quarter. Delinquencies improved significantly across most products, except for home loans.
Retail lending products saw healthy growth, especially as performance improved. Gen Z and Millennial consumers accounted for 61% of new products originated.
