A heat advisory is in effect for WNY until 8 p.m. Thursday. The heat index will range from 95 to 100 degrees.Henrietta, N.Y. — Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new investment Tuesday to help create up to 180 jobs in the Rochester area.The investment will help accommodate new equipment, expand warehouse capabilities and reduce carbon emissions.
The company said it's committed to creating the jobs over the next five years, in addition to the 300 employees currently on site. “Unither’s major investment in Monroe County will help to further establish Upstate New York as not only a leader in next-generation manufacturing but also as a pioneer in green technology,” Hochul said in a statement.
Unither purchased the facility in 2013 to help produce several lines of medications including eye drops, liquid stick packs and cough syrup.“The Town of Henrietta is working with Unither on how best to design the site plan to maximize fire safety while also creating additional green islands in the interior of their industrial complex," Schulz said in a statement.
