AUSTIN — The Texas attorney general’s office has notified more than 100 state companies that they appear to be in violation of a new law requiring them to register as data brokers, Attorney General Ken Paxton said Tuesday.

Earlier this month, Paxton created a team to focus on aggressive enforcement of privacy laws.
