Here are the most important news items that investors need to start their trading day.

Job openings hit the lowest level in more than three years.moved lower for the second trading session in a row, extending their rough start to the trading month. Seven of the 10 past NFL teams to be sold have outperformed the S&P 500 in terms of percentage gains since the sales took place. Among the three that have underperformed, the Washington Commanders and the Denver Broncos were sold within the past two years, and the Miami Dolphins were last sold in 2009, a time when the market was still recovering from the 2007-08 financial crisis. Those teams are ranked 13th, 14th and 8th, respectively.
