A neighbourhood fixture for more than a decade, Nu Bugel went above and beyond merely filling a bagel shop-shaped hole in the community, they did it with delightfully chewy bagels with shiny shells, sold by the dozen or whipped up into a sandwich. After an 11-year stint in their Kensington Market location, though Nu Bugel has quietly closed their doors permanently, marking the closure of their last remaining brick and mortar location.after a short-lived stint in the area, with locals decrying a dip in the quality and freshness of the bagels
At the time of publication, Nu Bugel has not responded to blogTO's request for comment on the reasoning behind the closure, so there's no news on whether a new location for the bakery is on the horizon.
