Accountant Loses RM90,000 to WhatsApp Investment ScamA 33-year-old accountant in Malaysia lost RM90,000 to a WhatsApp investment scam after being tricked into joining a fake group chat posing as a legitimate investment company. The victim, who works in a private company, was contacted on September 17 by an unknown individual and persuaded to join the group. She invested the money in four separate transactions between September 26 and December 12 but realized she had been deceived when she didn't receive the promised profits.
