SAA workers and the South African Cabin Crew Association embarked on a wage strike which started on Friday nationwide. The unions are demanding an 8% salary increase while SAA is offering 5.9% , depending on the availability of funds. SAA also says it will implement its restructuring plan which will lead to the retrenchment of more than 900 staff.
