Facebook, Google and Amazon have all called for racial justice, but their records in some cases tell a different story.

decrying the treatment of black users of the platform, including account suspensions and censorship, and detailing discrimination against black employees, who at the time made up just 4% of the workforce.

Luckie described black Facebook employees being discouraged by their managers from sharing feedback and participating in internal groups and treated as suspicious by campus security. “There is often more diversity in Keynote presentations than the teams who present them,” he wrote.Facebook isn’t the only tech company whose rhetoric on racial justice hasn’t always matched the reality.

Amazon also licenses facial-recognition software, called Rekognition, to law enforcement agencies. A study by the MIT Media Lab that the software performed worse at identifying the gender of individuals with dark faces, although Amazon contested the validity of the findings. Other facial-recognition algorithms have struggled to accurately identify non-white faces.: “Black Lives Matter. You are not alone. Everyone should feel safe in their neighborhood. Reach out. Listen. Take action.

wait? there were shoes (and other things) stolen? when did this happen, since it seems as if last fri. thru monday now never happened, and has gone down the memory hole, only to be, for the rest of time, remembered during intensive therapy .

Sneakers are insured and made in sweat shops in China for $.05.

Are you kidding me? This is the worst kept secret in Silicon Valley. How many blacks work in SV? Less than 5%. But SV CEO's donate & say they support blacks, but they don't hire them. Asians and Indians all know this, which is why you don't hear from them AT ALL.

Not Zuckerberg, owner of Facebook. He's a Trumper all the way, asshole. Boycott Facebook!!

They do NOT!

90% of the homeless people in CA have a new job, they started a new business after 'looting stores' 24/7.

This bs is really not the issue with the social media platforms. If there was a concern about Russian meddling in our elections - they are child's play compared to what's going on here:

The ONLY real protestors are the peaceful ones! All violent ones do not care about George Floyd! They're just using George Floyd as a smokescreen to spread fear & anarchy! They're pure evil & will face resistance in many neighborhoods!

This is finally the less shallow route you needed to take. Keep going with this.

What Amazon said: “The inequitable and brutal treatment of black people in our country must stop.” What the record shows: Ring incentivized police to encourage citizens to adopt its neighborhood watch app — which has reported racial profiling issues.

Surprising

Please define, with evidence, racial justice? Is it when the black gang member shots the Korean liquor store owner in the eye? Is it when the latino lady steals somebodys mail and washes their checks? Is it when the white speed freak steals the Hispanic quads wheelchair?

Sub-cat a list for spots as in the NFL, particularly Redskins.

Wow. The mainstream media is calling out mega-corporations for fake virtue-signalling? I'm shocked. Disney/Star Wars' BLM pandering was the worst. They literally tried to erase the black star of the sequel trilogy to avoid upsetting racist Chinese movie goers.

They support buzzwords

...teach them they are responsible for their actions...just like bad cops....in ref to photo

lol

Thank you for pointing out that these companies have a history of racism against African-Americans to this day...

No, they can't be racist. I saw the black square posts myself.

Shut up. We all know corporations don't care about you.
