Ticketmaster is the world’s largest ticket seller. Live Nation assumed control over the provider in 2010. Live Nation has for years denied that it is violating antitrust laws and said Thursday that the lawsuit “won’t solve the issues fans care about relating to ticket prices, service fees, and access to in-demand shows.”
New Jersey, state officials said, is one of Live Nation’s largest markets, with primary ticket sales reaching approximately $994.83 million, while the face value of these tickets is around $781.17 million. The conduct, the lawsuit alleges, has impacted fans through higher fees, few consumer choices, stifling innovation and a lack of transparency.
