Another billionaire is going to the Titanic, but this one says he's not ignoring industry standards | CBC News LoadedNews that an American billionaire is planning to visit the Titanic has drawn comparisons to the OceanGate disaster one year ago. The company says the vehicle will be able to withstand depths of 4,000 metres.

Larry Daley, who dived to the Titanic in 2003, has worked on multiple expeditions in the past. He became friends with Paul-Henri Nargeolet through their work on the Titanic expeditions. And they're not in a hurry to do things.

He said the vehicle will be certified by an independent body, unlike OceanGate's Titan submersible. The entire process will take two to three years.
