Despite facing challenging conditions over the past two weeks of heavy rain and flooding, residents of Nomzamo in Strand, have weighed in on remembering Nelson Mandela, on what would have been the late icon’s birthday.
It’s a day where individuals, businesses and corporates set aside 67 minutes for community service. But the work to uplift and assist communities across the country is what the Gift of the Givers does every day. On Mandela Day, it says the values of humility and service for the greater good which Madiba stood for, are an inspiration.
