Nottingham Forest will need to significantly increase their bid for Caoimhin Kelleher if they are to tempt Liverpool into parting with the goalkeeper. The Reds rejected an offer from Forest on Thursday for the Republic of Ireland international believed to involve cash plus Forest keeper Matt Turner moving in the opposite direction. Liverpool value Kelleher at upwards of £25million and are not looking to sell the 25-year-old ahead of the transfer deadline this evening.
The third choice at present is Vitezslav Jaros, who while yet to feature for the Reds first team did win the Austrian league and cup double on loan at Sturm Graz last season and subsequently earned his first full Czechia cap. Kelleher trained as normal at Kirkby on Friday morning as the Reds continue their preparations for Sunday's Premier League visit to bitter North West rivals Manchester United.
