Nottingham Castle

A recent listing has appeared online

Customers have been reassured that a Boots location in Nottingham will not be closing after the industrial building went on the market. The building on Castle Boulevard which currently houses a Boots Opticians store has recently been added to market by the estate agency Savills.

However, the popular retailer has confirmed that the location will not be closing or impacted by this. A spokesperson for Boots said: “We would like to assure our customers that Boots Opticians Nottingham Castle Boulevard is not closing.” It is understood that the building is in need of a new landlord to take on a five-lease rental of £57,750 per annum and that this change in ownership will not impact Boots who let the site. Offers are being sought in the region of £800,000 for the freehold interest. The property includes a two-storey retail/office building on a self-contained site with marked parking for 20 vehicles.

The opticians on Castle Boulevard is open every day of the week from 9am to 5.30pm, until 7pm on Thursdays and from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays. Boots recently provided an update on its ongoing store closures. As part of a strategy to shut 300 sites, the health and beauty retailer has closed about 290 branches thus far.
