Arapahoe Basin is now one of the 20 resorts owned by Denver-based Alterra Mountain Company. Officials announced on Tuesday that the sale, first announced in February, has closed. but was subject to review by the U.S. Department of Justice over antitrust considerations. Work on A-Basin’s 10-year master plan with the U.S. Forest Service stalled while the Justice Department examined the sale. Now planning can resume.“In 2019, we partnered with Alterra Mountain Company on Ikon Pass, knowing they respect and embrace everything that makes A-Basin unique,” said chief operating officer Alan Henceroth.
