Three Security Guards,Lodged,False Reports

DYSON Ltd. is dialing back its hairdryer-related operations in Malaysia, according to people familiar with the matter who declined to be identified discussing matters that are private, as the consumer goods company seeks to streamline its business in the region.

ALOR SETAR: Three security guards lodged a false report claiming that their security company's van had been robbed in an attempt to steal RM200,000.

Acting Kota Setar District Police Chief, Superintendent Syed Basri Syed Ali, said the three individuals had initially claimed in their report that the company's van they were driving had been robbed and that a sack containing RM200,000 had been taken. "Their tactic was exposed after the police grew suspicious of their initial statements, which appeared dubious.
