Western Cape Education Minister David Maynier has urged matriculants to celebrate responsibly as they finish writing exams in the province today.He’s called on the matriculants to familiarise themselves with safety measures at events and local emergency numbers. “It is understandable that our matrics would like to celebrate the end of their school career but we urge them to do so responsibly and safely. We encourage parents to ensure that their children understand the risks involved in any event or party and to ensure that they have made arrangements to stay in contact with their children and know what to do in an emergency,” says Maynier.
