Flexible working is now a legal right, so companies have got creative in ways to keep staff happy.

From free travel money to 14 weeks of paid paternity leave, companies in the UK are offering some extreme perks to attract and retain staff.

According to job site Glassdoor, flexible working and pension contributions becoming a legal right means companies have to think outside the box to bring people in. And they claim Friday office drinks are"mainstream", leading to a rise in free food, easy childcare and even free money from some UK and international firms.

But Joe Wiggins, Glassdoor director, said while benefits get companies noticed, they don't always fill gaps in keeping staff on and firms should also look at their training and development and career progression.
