A Memorandum of Understanding on the project was signed in Vientiane recently by the Vientiane Planning and Investment Department and the Green Adventure Travel Company.
If the project goes ahead it will be a boost to the tourism industry in Vientiane and create extra income and job opportunities for local people.Most tourism activities in Vientiane highlight the traditional way of life, with eco-tourism drawing an increasing number of visitors. Vientiane received over 2 million visitors last year, an increase of 0.66 above the target set for 2019, according to the Vientiane Information, Culture and Tourism Department.
