Foreign object debris, an industrial term for rags, tools, metal shavings and other materials left behind by workers during the production process, has been a quality control issue for various Boeing aircraft, such as its KC-46 tankers.

A loose screw in an auto going down the highway at 60mph is a nuisance but a loose screw in an aircraft going 500mph at 30,000 feet is a disaster! BoeingCEO FAANews nytimes WSJ

737 Max 👎

“Debris” ehh? Are we talking crisp wrappers, spanners or leftover lunchboxes? Or worse?

The company became a total mess. Unreal! Excess money gets to people's heads. Great aircraft maker no more.

It's pretty clear Boeing is cutting corners. Plane safety is not optional. Heads must roll!

Bit worrying

This is disgraceful

So two reasons to think twice about whether to fly on the 737 MAX

I do not trust them at all.

Scrap. Them.

It's pretty clear Boeing is cutting corners. Plane safety is not optionional. Heads must roll!

It's less about production. All aircraft should have regular fuel sampling for particulates in order to detect foreign objects or corrosion. Was that not done?

What on earth is going on with this company, there's a constant flow of bad news stories relating to its aircraft.

I remember reading approx. half a year ago, a former boeing employee was posting anonymously on reddit how debris was being left in to expedite production and that various ppl voiced concerns but were ignored by management in the past.

Just scrap those pieces of hit already...

it's not debris, it's 'fuel additive' to keep engines clean

Thanks for reminding me not to step on a 737 Max.

Lol and people call for less regulation

There's not enough booze in the world that would dull me to the point of ever flying again. FeetOnTheGround

deathtrap

Can’t wait to fly on a Boeing again... 😳

Boeing is going to the dogs, shareholders need to kick out the current management.

Flying (until not flying anymore) coffins? 737MAX airplanecrash airplanes

WHAT! A shock you all are. Putting our lives at risk you henious people

So basically the same as every manufacturer before delivery 🙄

Even bigger problem with 787-jetliner production. Especially those coming out of the South Carolina assembly facility. Not good!

Not reassuring!

Hello. I am interested in listening and watching about the country of Azerbaijan. The democratic country of Azerbaijan is the most stable and strong economic development. Azerbaijan’s money receives new value and strength.

The Boeing 737 MAX is a nightmare. Even if and when they return to service, I'll purposely avoid flying on the 737 MAX for a few years until I am confident the issues have mostly been resolved.

Boeing 737 Max: Fatal crashes revive fears about automation in planes - Business InsiderThe Max took some control from pilots and gave it to computers. Some in the industry say they've warned of dangers with this kind of system for years. Technology over ridding man is the worlds greatest danger So who is the chief in the cockpit? It sounds as if there is no way a trained, certified and proficient pilot is able to override automated flight control systems when circumstances warrant. I don't believe it - but if true, we have forgotten who is indeed the chief. 98% of the entire flight is already done by computers. They make far less mistakes than humans. And if they do make a mistake, its because it wasn't programmed correctly by a human...
