The House of Representatives has commenced investigation into circumstances leading to the alleged use of excessive force and abuse of due process by the Nigerian Air Force against Blue Boulevard, a company handling the mammy market project at the Air Force base in Port Harcourt.
However, at the sitting of the joint committee, Group Managing Director of NAF Holding Company, Air Vice Marshal AB Bagari told the committee that they were not aware of any petition sent to the House on the issue and therefore could not make any response. He said: “We received a letter dated 2nd January 2020 requesting for documents involving NAF properties and Blue Boulevard Limited . In response to that letter, we wrote a letter dated 27th January addressed to the House Committee on Airforce requesting for copy of the petition sent to the National Assembly so that we can respond appropriately.
“But as far as the company is concerned, we have not received a copy of this petition, we don’t know what the claims are so that we can make appropriate response. If we have a copy of the petition, we can now write our own submission so that you can read it and ask for any clarification.”
