REGINA — Saskatchewan’s chief medical health officer says it’s “business as usual” for schools and there is no reason at this time to shut them down over concerns about COVID-19.
He does say, however, that it’s critical that parents not send their children to school if they have even a mild fever, cough or runny nose.Shahab says he is in constant touch with local jurisdictions, public health authorities and school divisions and will continue to monitor the situation.“Parents would have to stay home or make arrangements for care that may be worse than a school setting,” he said at an update Sunday.
Shahab reiterated the requirement to self-isolate for 14 days after returning from a trip overseas and to self-monitor after travel within Canada to large conferences or cultural events.
Madness^2
lol he looks terrified!
That’s because he is an idiot.
This guy must know something the rest of the world doesn’t.
Close the schools
At this time given the low of cases the chief medical officer said any recommendation to close schools is based on risk assessment and made on a case-by-case basis, which we all know changes hourly.Doesn’t make that decision idiotic, makes it prudent.
Schools in AB closed now
Alberta just shut schools down. Its inevitable in sask as well

No It is not low. Act now while you can make a difference.
Viruses don’t even want to live there
Just watch how fast this will change. What an idiot
Idiot. He's right of course, but politically, NOW in the time to overreact.
They should use the next few days to get ready for shutdown. It is coming.
Right, this is awesome! So we need a 1000 cases being reported a day to plan a response! This is idiotic!!
Exactly the time to get ahead of it by closing schools, reducing movement...we need to learn from others’ learnings. Over caution is better than delayed reaction! COVIDー19 COVIDCanada
Waiting to react rather than being proactive. Great Way to ensure people get sick.
PremierScottMoe needs to cancel classes immediately like Alberta did
Wow, they really need to do something before this is too late, this is nothing to trifle with and without trading in the markets tomorrow maybe that will convince the province to SHUTITDOWN
Unwise and foolish.
So let's wait until it's spreading like rapid fire, then start cancelling! Smart move.
