Senate records show that Burr and his wife sold between roughly $600,000 and $1.7 million in more than 30 separate transactions in late January and mid-February, just before the market began to fall and as government health officials began to issue stark warnings about the effects of the virus. Several of the stocks were in companies that own hotels.
Burr’s remarks were much more dire than remarks he had made publicly, and came as President Donald Trump was still downplaying the severity of the virus.
All of the senators who did that (and I do mean all) need to be publicly tried. Nobody should be above the law. And “I didnt know anyone traded on the information I got” needs to be heard in court, if only so those saying it can hear how it sounds.
I am even more interested in who’s behind the three companies that bought so much of Gilead (about the time of the closed door senate meeting on China coronavirus) on the same day, the company that produces Remdesivir, the drug the WHO is pushing ahead of what Drs’ve been using.

Selling stocks based on common sense isn't insider trading. Nor was there a guarantee it would even pay off long-term (or that it will) given the factors yielding the unpredictable nature of the current market situation. Sorry, Dems.
