KUALA LUMPUR: The police recommend that Pasar Borong Kuala Lumpur reduce its operational hours in accordance with the movement control order (MCO), says Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim.

The Kuala Lumpur police chief said he was aware of viral news that there were many foreigners at the wholesale market."There are 440 stalls with five workers each, bringing the total number of those at the market to more than 2,000, without counting the customers," he told reporters outside the market Tuesday .

Comm Mazlan said police have conducted two roadblocks in the area since March 19 to ensure that people limit their movements in the area."We also have the CID, Mobile Patrol Vehicle and Motorcycle Patrol Unit monitoring the area.A total of 138 police personnel are on duty in the area each day, he added.
