"We'll get past this, but we're going to have to be tougher," said Gov. Newsom on Wednesday as he announced renewed measures to slow the spread of coronavirus.
Newsom made the announcement during a press conference in which he detailed how California would begin to once againin 19 counties — including Los Angeles — halting all indoor operations at establishments such as restaurants, theaters, wineries, zoos, museums and card rooms. Bars were also ordered to close. The new restrictions will remain in place for at least three weeks, Newsom said.
"We bent the curve in the state of California once. We will bend the curve again," Newsom said. "We will crush this pandemic. We will annihilate it. We'll get past this, but we're going to have to be tougher."
