The 9 California housing markets with the most homes at risk from wildfires

, roughly $728.5 million worth of residential real estate, or 2,300 homes, are currently at risk in California. These homes, per the analysis, have either already been evacuated or have been ordered to be evacuated.

"A home is the most valuable asset for many families, and more than that, it's where people have sheltered and stayed safe as a viral pandemic raged. Now for tens of thousands of homeowners, this safe space is threatened by wildfires," Danielle Hale, a chief economist at Realtor.com, was quoted in the analysis.

Realtor.com broke down the California metro areas with the most homes at risk, along with the total value of residential real estate at stake.
