Elvira and Bobby Guerra spent three years searching for a home to buy in southern Texas, but their real-estate agent repeatedly showed them houses that were too expensive and still in need of work.
Late last year, they went to see a house they found on Zillow and were surprised to learn it had been built in a factory. They liked the large backyard and that it was in a new 21-home subdivision in the San Antonio outskirts of Seguin. The first-time home buyers closed in February.
Not if they are in a state like Maryland with dumb republicans making laws that don’t let you buy land and purchase a manufactured/modular home! I don’t want to be forced to buy a home to put into a crowded trailer park as the only option!
My city has a housing shortage.
buying a home is a bad idea in this economy.
Realtor/insurance/banks/industry will need a big advertising push to erase the stereotype behind manufactured homes. Plus, Banks and insurance don't like to finance/ insure.
