Amazon.com Inc traded higher for much of the session after expanding its market capitalisation by around $190 billion on Friday on the back of blowout earnings.

According to preliminary data, the S&P 500 lost 16.44 points, or 0.37%, to end at 4,484.08 points, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 82.25 points, or 0.58%, to 14,015.75.Tyson Foods Inc surged after the meat-packer’s first-quarter profit nearly doubled and surged past estimates on the back of higher prices.
