A man has been burned to death at the Organic Market in Bramley, near Alexandra north of Johannesburg, after being accused of theft.

Police spokesperson Dimakatso Sello, says no one has been arrested in connection with the incident yet and a case of murder has been opened.

“The police urge the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands as that is also a criminal offence. The members of the public are advised to report any criminal activities on the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or leave anonymous tip-offs on MySAPS App. All information received will be treated as strictly confidential.”

Meanwhile the seven men accused of murdering a Diepsloot man are expected to bring a bail application in the Randburg Magistrates’ court, north of Johannesburg on Monday.was beaten and burnt do death during violent protests in Diepsloot on the 7th of April after migrants were accused of committing crimes in the area.

The bail application was postponed at the men’s previous court appearance in order for them to appear in an identity parade.
