WHITE DEER - The former treasurer of a volunteer fire company in Union County is accused of stealing approximately $350,000 from the organization over a four-year period.
The money shortage came to light when the fire company contacted Susquehanna Community Bank about available funds to buy a rescue vehicle, the arrest affidavit states.
