Alberta Budget 2023: No changes to economic supports or tax incentives for business community ableg abpoli

It sets aside $100 million over three years in increased funding for the Film and Television Tax Credit, which will bring total funding for program to $125 million, with a forecast return of $4.20 for every dollar invested.

The province is also increasing the Aboriginal Business Investment Fund by 50 per cent to $23 million over three years.

One incentive missing from the equation is the digital media tax incentive, which was listed as a priority to be developed by Technology and Innovation minister, Nate Glubish. There was no mention of the tax incentive, geared to invigorate the video game development sector in the budget.
