Murderer and rapist Bester is believed to have escaped from the Mangaung Correctional Centre and is now on the run.In 2022 Correctional Services reported that Bester's cell had caught fire and the body in it was burnt beyond recognition.

No ruling out more such aided escapes happened there. G4S' contract deserves immediate effect termination. Period.
