A South Korean company is making a major investment into a proposed wind-hydrogen project on the province’s west coast.
The SK Group is investing over $67-million Canadian into the massive wind-hydrogen project on the Port au Port Peninsula that will power an export facility in Port of Stephenville.Stephenville mayor Tom Rose says it’s good news for the town and parties involved. He expects the company behind it all, to officially acquire the Port of Stephenville by the end of the month. Once that’s done, the port will receive some major upgrades to support the transport of hydrogen. “That’s going to be capital investment, jobs and so fourth,” says Rose.
