The new downtown location, dubbed Soo Market, is at 73 Brock Street, beside the yet-to-be-opened downtown plaza.
The new market will feature more than two dozen vendors bringing a mix of farm fresh produce and artisanal goods. A formal presentation is set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by the official grand opening at 9 a.m. Contrary to a recent media report, the neighbouring downtown plaza will not be opening this weekend. The city has yet to announce that date.
