GSK PLC GSK, -2.79%, a pharmaceuticals company, and firm Diageo PLC DGE, -2.72% rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks declined 2.79% and 2.72%, respectively. Shares of precious metals firm Fresnillo PLC FRES, +2.96% and paper/pulp company Mondi PLC MNDI, +2.31% rose 2.96% and 2.31%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.16% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.17% at $1.2148 and was down 0.09% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.09% at €1.1471.
