BT Group PLC BT.A, +5.72%, a wired telecommunications services company, and industrial/office reits firm SEGRO PLC SGRO, +5.53% rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks climbed 5.72% and 5.53%, respectively. Shares of pharmaceuticals firms Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC HIK, -4.40% GSK PLC GSK, -1.90% shed 4.40% and 1.90%, respectively.
The pound was up 0.25% against dollar GBPUSD, +0.28% at $1.2180 and was down 0.20% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.20% at €1.1474.
