A pair of class-action lawsuits filed by former UFC fighters against the mixed martial arts promotion have been settled, according to a regulatory filing made Wednesday. TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the UFC, disclosed in an SEC filing that it reached a settlement on March 13 and is expected to pay the fighters $335 million in total. “The terms will be memorialized in a long-form agreement and then submitted to the court for approval,” TKO said in the filing.
In a statement provided to The Athletic by a UFC spokesperson, the promotion said: “We are pleased to have reached an agreement to settle all claims asserted in both the Le and Johnson class action lawsuits, bringing litigation to a close and benefiting all parties.
