Wrexham AFC owe nearly £9 million to the company owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the club has said.

The Welsh team lost £5 million in the year of their promotion to the English Football League but turnover has since doubled to almost £10.5 million.

"The financial losses suffered by the club since the takeover shouldn't be repeated, with income generated by the club now sufficient to meet the operational costs of the club going forward." In April of last year, the men's team of Wrexham club had a victory in the National League, meaning they would return to the English Football League after a gap of 15 years. On top of that, the womens team secured their spot at the highest level of Welsh football.
