Singapore stocks kicked off on Wednesday, July 31, following a mixed performance on Wall Street the night before.

Genting Singapore was among the most actively traded stocks by volume, remaining flat at S$0.85 with 1.9 million shares traded. Another heavily traded stock was Mapletree Logistics Trust, which saw a decline of 3.1% or S$0.04 to S$1.27, with 1.3 million units transacted. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.5% to 40,743.33, while the broad-based S&P 500 was down by 0.5% to 5,436.44.
