This Week in Jacksonville: Business Edition is following up on the Comcast RISE program that helps 100 small businesses in the Jacksonville area.

This episode details what RISE provides for recipients and the impact it makes for two local small business owners.We’ll introduce you to Carisa Brown, owner of Jazz Poetry Café, and Sherene Phillips, owner of Honie Bees Boutique and Treats. Comcast Florida Director of Government Affairs Jen Boyett also takes part in this conversation.

Comcast RISE is one of several programs aimed at closing the digital divide and achieving digital equity. The program supports the growth of all small businesses while advancing the objectives of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as community investment. The program is built to help businesses/communities thrive with a focus on economic growth and was created in 2020 to help small businesses hard hit by COVID-19.Kent Justice co-anchors News4Jax's 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts weeknights and reports on government and politics. He also hosts "This Week in Jacksonville," Channel 4's hot topics and politics public affairs show each Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
