The Congress of South African Trade Unions and the South African Communist Party’s reaction comes after the governing party in the province recalled some of its deployees.According to the alliance, they should have been part of the meeting that decided on the removal of Mayors, in line with the policy that was adopted by the ANC National Executive Committee in 2021.
Cosatu’s Provincial Secretary, Kopano Konopi says, “They didn’t come to us when they had finalised that, and presented findings of that report, and to say that ‘these are the findings that we have made’.
