Students from four schools in Hamilton and East Kilbride took part in the workshops marking Gas Safety Week.

Pupils from four South Lanarkshire secondary schools had an insight into industry as a Blantyre company ran a series of special sessions to mark Gas Safety Week.

They also found out about renewable energy, global warming, electric vehicles, energy saving and vital safety legislation during two busy days of workshops. A spokesperson said: “This will line the students up perfectly for apprentice opportunities when they leave school and it will build a great foundation to exciting careers ahead – we believe everyone should have an opportunity to learn and be invested in.
