Former offices which have stood empty for nearly two years in a north Shropshire town could be set for a new lease of life as apartments.

under the proposal by applicants Parry Jones Homes Ltd, who have lodged an application for prior approval for the scheme with Shropshire Council.

In their application, the developers say the property sits in a “very sustainable” town centre location in Market Drayton due to its location near to the bus station and local facilities. “The building benefits from a very large floor area of 247.38 sq.m and has historically been used as a residential property. The building is located on Queen Street, within the Market Drayton development boundary where development is generally deemed acceptable and is a very sustainable location.
