The trade body for steelmakers has rubbished claims that British Steel could be more easily saved if the UK were outside the European Union and warned that the turmoil of a no-deal Brexit could further damage the industry.
duh? The govt did not save the steel industry. Brexit will not save any of us & most likely will cost us plebs dearly unless we have our mega bucks stashed in tax havens! Enthusiasm is the Tory middle name right now when it comes to Brexit! Wonder why?
Its too late. By the time we got a clean brexit British Steal will already have gone under. Wouldn't have happened if we could have left 3 years ago.
Unless we can think up some metal infrastructure that will be vital for the future such as wave power, Hep, wind, solar, housing, railway expansion etc. Green energy to power the energy intensive steel making also would be necessary.
Brexit ain't saving nothing but the clowns who concocted the whole damnable thing. They'll get paid no matter what.
