Melbourne based tech company Sapyen hopes its convenient at-home testing kit will help revolutionise the IVF process for families around the world.

Fertility testing for males will soon be as accessible as taking a pregnancy test, thanks to a world-first testing kit developed in Melbourne.

"What it effectively does is increase the viability of sperm samples from its traditional one hour, all the way to three days," Ramachandran said. The Sapyen test-kit uses a world-first stabilisation fluid to enable sperm samples to last longer, "If you come through a healthcare practitioner partner and they make a referral for you you can get a rebate of up to $45 on a test kit," Ramachandran said.
