With Christmas on the horizon and plenty of markets to choose from for a visit, the Daily Record has delved into a hidden gem Christmas market only 90 minutes out of Edinburgh.

Cities, towns, and villages all over Scotland will be putting on special events this November and December where you will be able to pick up all kinds of goodies. Whether you are looking for last-minute presents, or just keen to immerse yourself in the wintery atmosphere, visiting a market can be a magical experience.

Nestled along the East Neuk of Fife, less than 90 minutes from Edinburgh by car, is the charming seaside of the village of St Monans. This December, local food and drink hub Bowhouse will once again be hosting the annual Bowhouse Christmas Market. The Bowhouse Christmas Market will also feature a variety of craft makers from pop-up events platform Tea Green. Expect all kinds of handmade trinkets and goods, including jewellery, homeware, and much more.
